Who is Mariam Abdulrab of Atlanta, GA?
Mariam Abdulrab was a waitress in Atlanta who was abducted with a gun outside her home on Friday morning.
His body was found a few hours later, a few kilometers away, somewhere else.
A witness said he saw Mariam, identified by friends and colleagues, being forced into a van in the Grant Park area around 5 a.m.
He was coming home from work, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. An hour later, a second 911 call reported gunshots nearby.
Just before 10 a.m., a witness found Abdulrab’s body.

His current age is 27 years.
How Did The Incident Happen?
A witness who called police was called after 5 a.m. and said he saw a woman being forced into a van on Burroughs Street near Chosewood Park. He is believed to have returned from work at that time.
After 6 a.m., another call reported a shooting near Lakewood Avenue, but no one was found associated with that call until the body was discovered nearly four hours later.
When a witness saw the woman’s body, Sergeant Chafee said police organized an investigation into the area. The two stages are about a kilometer and a half apart.
Authorities are in constant contact with the victim’s family.
The case came just three weeks after Katie Janness, another waitress was killed while walking her dog in Piedmont Park at midnight.
There is currently no indication of a link between the two cases.

Who are the Suspects to be Arrested?
Police quickly identified a man interested in the hunt and hours later spotted his 2013 Chevrolet Equinox just south of Atlanta.
In a Griffin chase, Demarcus Brinkley, 27, collided with a Buick, the Georgia State Patrol said.
Brinkley and the Buick driver were both transferred to nearby hospitals, but there was no news on their condition.
State Patrol said Brinkley will be jailed for traffic violations when he is released from the hospital.
Atlanta Police have not filed any charges related to the kidnapping and murder of Abdulrab.
What Have the Police Investigated So Far?
Atlanta Police spokesman, Atlanta Deputy Police Chief Charles Hampton Jr., told reporters: “These are two different incidents.”
That year there were 92 homicides in Atlanta, 15 of the victims were women.
Abdulrab worked at two bars in Atlanta and both are recovering from his death. Midtown’s Revery VR bar, where she worked the morning of her death, announced it would close for the weekend, as well as Sister Louisa’s Living Room Church and the Ping Pong Emporium.

He was found dead before 10 p.m. Hours later, a person believed to be involved in the crime was arrested by police. 27-year-old Demarcus Brinkley was spotted inside his 2013 Chevrolet Equinox south of Atlanta and in a chase, he was reported to have crashed into a Buick in Griffin, according to the Georgia State Patrol. ATLANTA-Police say they discovered a murdered woman they believe was kidnapped Friday in southeast Atlanta.

For several hours on Friday, there was a heavy police presence and crime scene tape set up along Burroughs Street, near his home between the Chosewood Park and Grant Park neighborhoods.
Around 6 a.m., officers received a call about gunshots in the Lakewood Avenue and Terrace Way area in Southeast Atlanta. They could find nothing from that call.
“During the investigation, investigators determined that shots fired calls were likely related to this incident and investigators were responding to the canvas at the scene when a witness called around 9:55 a.m. and advised a dead person found near 1907 Lakewood Avenue, “police said. in a statement.
Investigators found the woman and determined it was the same man who had apparently been abducted from Burroughs Street earlier. The two scenes are about a mile and a half apart.
Police said investigators have identified a person interested in the kidnapping and he is being held outside the city.
Abdulrab’s family said police told them the man in custody was involved in a police chase and crashed in Griffin, Georgia.
The Georgia State Patrol said it was part of that chase, which ended when the man collided with another car on Hill Street. Two people in the other car were taken to the hospital by helicopter.
The GSP said the man taken into custody after that pursuit was a 27 -year -old from Griffin.
So far, he has only been detained on traffic charges, but police said it is still an active investigation and no charges have yet been filed in the kidnapping case.
