Attorney Mitchell Garabedian, known for representing victims of clergy sex abuse, said he represents the woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by Harding as a child.
“Any victim of sexual assault shows a tremendous amount of courage, strength and determination by speaking up and reporting sexual assault,” Garabedian said. “Due to the pending criminal case, I have no further comment at this time.”

Hudson School Superintendent Marco Rodrigues said in a statement Thursday that the school district was “extremely surprised and disappointed to learn of the disturbing allegations” against Harding, who he says took her position as a middle school teacher in June 2013 gave up voluntarily.
“At no point during or after her employment with Hudson have we ever received any information to suggest that she engaged in any type of behavior that resulted in potential or actual harm to students,” Rodrigues said in the per E -Mail sent statement. “Had we received indications of such behavior, we would have acted quickly and decisively. In her wrongful termination lawsuit, Harding accused the city of firing her because of her gender and sexual orientation. But the city said in court filings that an internal investigation found that Harding had harassed her former friend and fellow teacher with threatening texts and emails, and also confronted other teachers during classes in front of students — which constitutes “improper conduct by a teacher.” ”
