During a recent appearance on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa radio show, Zocchi explained that he was previously asked to be the Bachelor on the Australian version of the dating show. However, the 37-year-old “Bad Times at the El Royale” actor apparently gave him an ultimatum.

“I actually got it, but I said no,” Zocchi explained. “I actually said it [to Chris] as a joke, and he said, ‘If you go to The Bachelor, I’m going to fire you!'”

Now Zocchi has disappeared from the market for the first time in 13 years. “I finally went and got a girlfriend. It took a pandemic! She’s a Swedish backpacker,” he shared.

Although Hemsworth has trained with Zocchi for the past several years, the two have known each other since they were children. “I met Chris in elementary school. He was over me in the year and we started hanging out when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. Then we went to the same high school,” Zocchi told Australian Men’s Health in its March 2020 issue. “When I was in school I was an amateur fighter and Chris would come to the gym and watch me spar.”

Bringing Hemsworth’s physique up to superhero standards takes a lot of work, but Zocchi has noticed how the Thor: Ragnarok star likes to give it his all during his training. “Because he’s so competitive, I do my pull-ups, my push-ups, and the next minute he’s behind me doing more than me,” the fitness expert said in a blog post about Hemsworth’s Centr brand. “He’s very competitive and that’s how I get him to do things.”

In addition to getting the right exercise, Hemsworth also makes sure to include the right foods in his diet. In September 2019, the Australian-born’s chef Sergio Perera revealed what the actor usually eats in a day.

“Chris’s day always starts with a big green shake consisting of 5-6 different leafy greens, low glycemic index fruits, nuts, seeds, fats and small amounts of sea salt to help with electrolyte balance and neurotransmission glucose metabolism,” said Perera told Men’s Health U.K. at the time. “The protein source is preferably a mix of rice, hemp and pea protein, which has proven to be a much better option for him.”
