Why Does Hank Williams Jr Wear Sunglasses All The Time I Have NEVER Seen A Picture Of Him Without Them

We had a fight tonight. We saw a video clip of a documentary about a man who raped many women who worked in the army and met many rulers in the world. I told him I didn’t want to watch the whole thing because I was taken advantage of by a lot of older men when I was a kid. He said we don’t have to. I said the man in the clip is sick and others like him. My friend complimented me that they should just go to strip clubs and fuck. My answer infuriated him, I said men who do this are sick and can’t get a normal girl to bed. He thought I said he was ill himself. Suddenly he blurts out how many guys I’ve slept with. And then I talked about the hookers he’d been in touch with since he’d known me.

He tried to tell me to leave his house. I always get a panic attack when he does that after we argue about hookers. I kept telling him I didn’t see him like the sick man we saw in the clip. I have forgiven him for what he has done in the past. He has forgiven me for what I have done in the past: date (dinner, lunch, hikes, walks, music) and sleeping with a man. I did this when I felt like he called a hooker after taking away our leased car that I used everyday for work. We live apart because of his obsessive-compulsive disorder, which he is diagnosed with.

It took us a long time to forgive our deeds. We still forgive, but it hurts both of us whether we think it or say it. We can’t leave each other because we recently had 3 family members due, we lost 16 pounds together, all our friends and the town sees us together every day holding hands. It hurt when we argued. That’s one thing that irked me the most when he said ‘I’m going to sleep with hookers!’ I replied: Keep it up!!!! I do not care! You never wanted a really beautiful girlfriend who is always there when you have nothing or nobody. you’re just using me You will die alone, relying on companions to sleep with fat people like you who are dying of diabetes.’

I apologized but felt so bad for what I said out of anger. He told me a few times after that that he didn’t want to sleep with hookers. The crazy thing is we met for breakfast today, weighed each other and both lost 6 pounds together, I took him out to a $400 Japanese dinner, went to his place for a shower, had sex for 5 minutes and made him cum and watch the documentary and BAMMM! The clip and the comments came. I thought I was the best friend ever. I was the first person he dated the longest, the first he was engaged to, the first he helped get me a lease, the first he bought her a car, etc. That’s someone in her fifties, never married and no children. I think we both know that we will be together later without any rush, no matter what.

How can I overcome his testimony or him and his companions? I offer sex every day. I live 10 minutes away from him. I’m ready to hop in my car for him anytime. This is a small problem. Who do women know, men are no longer interested in escorts?

45 years ago, Hank Williams Jr. nearly died after falling 500 feet off a mountain

In 1975, Hank Williams Jr. found his voice again but nearly lost his life.

Until then, Williams couldn’t escape the shadow of his legendary father, who changed country music and died when his only son was 3 years old. The younger Williams began making music and touring when he was a boy and achieved fame singing his own father’s songs in the style of his father.

But it wasn’t enough.

After attempting suicide and moving from Nashville to Cullman, Alabama, Williams spent the first half of 1975 recording his seminal album Hank Williams Jr. & Friends. Featuring two songs written by Marshall Tucker Band founding member Toy Caldwell, the album marked Williams’ transition from the traditional “lonely” style made famous by his father to the wild country-rock sound he was known for since building his career.

But before Williams had a chance to promote the album, he went mountain climbing in Montana.

On August 8, then 26-year-old Williams and a friend went hiking through rugged terrain near Ajax Lake in search of goats. Williams slipped and fell about 500 feet, “suffering serious head injuries when he struck protruding rocks,” according to an article from The Associated Press that appeared on the front page of the August 11, 1975, issue of The Tennessean.

A helicopter had to land about a quarter mile from the scene of the accident. In all, the rescue took six hours, with six men carrying Williams to the helicopter that flew him to Missoula Community Hospital.

There, Williams spent over seven hours in surgery – led by a team of five doctors – for head and facial injuries.

When Williams woke up in his hospital room, he had two special visitors: his godmother, June Carter Cash, and her husband, Johnny.

“When I fell, the only two people I saw when I woke up in the hospital bed were Johnny and June,” Williams told Rolling Stone in 2015. “June put a cross on me and told me everything was going to be OK . I never knew if I would sing again or not, speak again or not, let alone think about what I would look like. It was a scary time.

William’s mother, Audrey Williams, a close friend of June Carter Cash, flew from Nashville to Montana to be by her son’s side.

“It’s just a miracle the kid’s alive, but he’s young and he’s tough,” she told The Tennessean this month. “It was just God’s will that he live.”

(Audrey Williams died less than three months after her son’s accident at the age of 52. Struggling financially and her home had been confiscated by the IRS for non-payment of taxes, her son’s near-death experience weighed heavily on her A member of her personal staff told The Tennessean that “she’s been depressed since Hank Jr. got hurt. I think that really did it.”

Williams has been tough, but so has his recovery, which took two years and multiple surgeries.

Today, the man behind six platinum albums sports a beard and sunglasses to hide his scars.

“I dreamed about it,” Williams said in 1989. “I should have died. The doctor said he worked on a lot of boys in Vietnam and honestly they looked good compared to me.”

Williams’ fall was chronicled in film – 1983’s Living Proof: The Hank Williams Jr. Story – and in song.

In 1980’s “All in Alabama,” Williams sings:

“I just had to show them / I didn’t need them / And so I headed west to see some old friends of mine.

“I thought if I climbed old Ajax Mountain / Maybe that would help me get everything out of my head.

“I’ve made it to the top / I’ve picked a clear point / I’ve thought a lot / About the rest of my life.

“I had no idea then/ Soon it would almost end/ Up on that mountainside/ I would almost die.”

46 Years Ago Hank Williams Jr. Has Near-Fatal Accident in Montana

46 years ago today (August 8, 1975) is a day that Hank Williams Jr. would most likely prefer to forget. On that day, the country star suffered a near-fatal accident while climbing Ajax Peak in Beaverhead County, Mont.

As Williams Jr. climbed Ajax Peak, the snow collapsed beneath him, dropping him about 440 feet. The artist was not originally expected to survive, but he did, and he spent more than two years recovering from the incident. He had numerous skull fractures and underwent multiple surgeries to repair them; The scars prompted Williams Jr. to grow a beard and wear sunglasses — a look he’s maintained throughout his career.

Williams Jr. was buoyed throughout his recovery by the support of the country music community, including two of the genre’s biggest stars: “June Carter and Johnny Cash were there when I came by,” Williams recalled to USA Today, “and it meant a lot.”

He also had the support of then-girlfriend and future second wife Becky White, whom he had met just a week before the accident.

“Twenty-four hours after I confessed that we loved each other, I became a monster on a mountainside with almost my entire face gone,” Williams Jr. told People magazine.

Williams Jr.’s accident is told in a film about his life, Living Proof: The Hank Williams Jr. Story. The film stars Richard Thomas of The Waltons as a country singer.

Williams Jr. released one album, Hank Williams Jr. and Friends, in December 1975; it had been recorded before the accident. His next album was One Night Stands, released in 1977.
