Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker Stayed At Singer’s House ‘Months’ After Horrific Attack: ‘She Helped Me So Much’

Ryan Fischer, the dog walker who was shot and critically injured in the violent abduction of Lady Gaga’s two French bulldogs in February, speaks out in his first television interview.

While appearing on CBS Mornings on Friday, Fischer, 40, chatted with co-host Gayle King about the attack that took place while he was walking Gaga’s three dogs, Miss Asia, Gustav and Koji, on February 24. (At that time, Miss Asia escaped the scene into some bushes while Gustav and Koji were caught.) The dogs were returned to the police two days after the attack.

In April, Los Angeles police arrested five suspects in connection with the incident.

Sitting with King, 66, for the first time in New York’s Central Park, Fischer said: “Some days are great, some weeks aren’t. And that was the big ups and downs of the last few months.”

Fischer then headed to Los Angeles and back to the scene of the harrowing crime, walking down the familiar path while explaining in detail to King how the attack took place. “The car came and squeaked and it happened … I think I walked right here, and the car just came in, like at an angle,” he said, pointing to specific spots. “There was no doubt in my mind that they stopped because of me.”

After home security footage of Fischer’s attack played, during which he was heard screaming in pain, he told King, “I was scared, I was in pain, I was going to end up being shot because I was like, ‘Up no way will I not fight for these dogs.’”

Fischer also opened up about Gaga, 35, and how she has consistently supported him on his recovery journey.

“She helped me so much,” he said. “She was a friend to me and after I was attacked my family was flown out and I had trauma therapists flown in and I stayed at her home for months with friends comforting me and safety around me.”

Fischer then took to a GoFundMe account he set up after the incident and shut down all the critics who came after Gaga with allegations that she didn’t support him.

“LG is very supportive of my journey right now and I think it’s hard for people to understand why someone would heal in this way,” he explained of why he wants to participate in his healing journey in his own way without Gaga’s help. “I was raised in the Jesuit Catholic faith and it has something to do with giving up your resources, giving up possessions and contributing to society.”

“And so I know that doesn’t make sense to a lot of people, [but] she totally gets it,” he added of the “Poker Face” singer.

According to Fischer, he was shot once, and because he “reached forward,” the bullet went right next to his neck, above his collarbone, in and out of his shoulder blade. “It pierced my lungs,” he explained. “I’ve been on the operating table and they’re all working together — it was a team of eight or nine people all sitting around the table — and they’ve been working on me.”

At that moment, Fischer said, he thought he wouldn’t survive. “I heard my blood pressure drop — I looked at the machine,” he said. “The people in the ER that I saw that night told me they didn’t think I would survive that night.”

In the end the operation was successful. “They removed the top third of my lungs and then part of the bottom part of my lungs.”

Also during his candid conversation with CBS Mornings, King Fischer asked if he thought he was attacked because his attackers knew the dogs belonged to Gaga.

“I wasn’t sure at the moment, anything is possible,” he said. “But I’d be surprised if they did.”

“I think they just saw a guy with three French bulldogs,” he continued, adding, “The only thing that struck me in L.A. when I was walking the dogs was people getting out of the cars said, ‘How much are these dogs worth? ‘ Like, ‘How much do they cost? Can I buy them?’ And that part was always surprising – the dog as a commodity.”

Fischer also reunited with a man he identified as Carlos, in front of whose house he was shot, and described him as “an angel telling me I’ll be fine, I want to keep my eyes open, look at him.” , keep breathing.”

“I had trauma therapy that night, but actually seeing Carlos and seeing that same kind, reassuring face helps me realize I wasn’t alone in that moment. I wasn’t abandoned,” Fischer added. “He and other people came out for me.”

Lady Gaga’s fans demand answers after dog walker says he feels ‘abandoned’

The little monsters are crazy.

Lady Gaga’s fans are furious with the “Paparazzi” singer after her former dog walker Ryan Fischer claimed he has been “abandoned and unsupported” since he was shot while protecting the singer’s pooches.

“Lady Gaga offered $500,000 to find her missing dogs but is allowing her dog walker to set up a Gofundme because he is now homeless and still dealing with his trauma,” one Twitter user wrote. “I don’t expect much from rich people, but they always surprise me.”

Another chimed in: “What’s wrong with this woman after rescuing her dogs she is so heartless not to help her dog walker.”

However, a third person pointed out that Gaga, 35, offered to pay Fischer’s $97,500 in medical bills in March, according to a Daily Mail report.

However, the same fan later added: “It should be noted that his bills were 100,000 and she apparently had 500,000 to burn as a reward for the dogs’ safe return.” Sooo.”

A fourth fan wrote on Fischer’s GoFundMe page: “WTF Lady Gaga?! It’s unreal that the person who was shot trying to save your dogs from being stolen should be struggling like that! I’m a fan but this is disgusting to me. How could you be so insensitive to the PTSD he must be having from this incident?

In February, the “Rain on Me” singer announced a $500,000 reward for the return of then-missing French bulldogs Koji and Gustav. She also said her injured dog walker would be “a hero forever.” The puppies were later given up by a woman who asked for the big reward and claimed she found them tied to a pole.

Gaga did not respond to the social media backlash, and a rep for the pop star did not immediately respond to our request for comment.

In April, Fischer was forced to move out of his apartment while his attackers remained at large. He also had to undergo surgery after being shot in the chest by armed dog snipers while trying to protect the “Shallow” singer’s bulldogs.

Fischer shared in his new GoFundMe campaign that he embarked on a road trip across the US to process “long bouts of depression, doubt and self-pity” as a result of the incident.

The former dog walker noted that to improve his emotional and mental health, he is seeking funding to cover costs for “retreat centers, trauma programs, queer healers, creatives and spiritual leaders.”

“With no vehicle or home, no savings and no survival on donations from generous loved ones, I humbly ask for your help,” he wrote. “It’s not easy to ask, but I’ve begun to see that sharing your vulnerability with others is precisely the moment when radical changes occur for everyone involved.”

As of Wednesday morning, Fischer has raised more than $21,000 of his $40,000 goal.

Assistant To Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker, Ryan Fischer, Says He’s Been Financially Abandoned After Shooting

Ryan Fischer shares his story with Rolling Stone.

Fischer, the dog walker of Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs, was shot dead during a failed kidnapping attempt, resulting in an extended hospital stay and a long recovery.

As the magazine reports, “Fischer is still working with a physical therapist to increase his lung capacity and bring it back to pre-attack levels, but it will take time. The bullet damaged his brachial plexus – the network of nerves that serves as the line of communication between his spinal cord and arm. He’s still undergoing therapy to heal his rotator cuff. Three of his ribs, broken in the attack, are healing slowly, as are the scars from multiple chest drains and the surgery.”

As a result, Fischer started a GoFundMe to help with expenses while he recovers while he is unable to work.

In the interview, Fischer – who is no longer employed by Gaga’s organization – praised the singer and her team.

“They are my friends and I love them and they are absolutely there for me,” Fischer said. “I have nothing but gratitude for everything. It’s just a weird situation just because it’s unfolded in the media. But I am very thankful for my friendships.”

However, Fisher’s assistant, Elisha Ault, tells RS a different story. According to Ault, for the first few months after filming, Gaga’s team was “supportive from afar — there were a lot of words of reassurance, like, ‘Oh yeah, don’t worry about anything, we’re going to completely take care of you.'”

However, Ault claims that this never materialized in the long term. When Gaga and her entourage returned from Italy after completing filming of House of Gucci, Ault claims, “No one really cared to visit him or talk to him or get in touch with him. Ryan was much more than just an employee to her. They were friends – close friends – for years.”

As Fischer left on his recovery road trip, Ault – who was taking care of his business expenses – sent out bills to his clients, including Gaga, and expected six more months of support while he recovered from his injuries.

However, she says she was surprised to receive a text message from a member of Gaga’s team asking what the bill was for. Through that discussion, Ault says, she realized that Gaga’s team only wanted to extend this support to three months beyond filming.

“He had moved out of his apartment, had got rid of his car – he had taken the step to change his life in a way that he expected support,” says Ault. “They knew he had no other source of income.”

However, Fischer says he is grateful for the support he has received. “I’ve had so much support and I’m so grateful. I have nothing but gratitude in my heart for the care I have received and the support I have received,” he told the magazine. “Most [victims] of crime don’t understand that and I did and I’m very grateful for that.”

According to RS, Lady Gaga, who was contacted through a representative, declined to comment.
