Taxstone  Career

Taxstone was born Daryl Campbell in East New York, Brooklyn and is of Afro-Honduran descent. He rose to prominence through Twitter, where he garnered a large following for his bluntness and audacity. He caught the attention of The Loud Speakers Network podcast hosts and appeared on a January 8, 2015 episode of Charlamagne Tha God and Andrew Schulz’s podcast The Brilliant Idiots.

Another podcast host on the network, K Fury, had also recommended him to network bosses Combat Jack and Chris Morrow, prompting him to land his own Tax Season podcast. He released the first episode of Tax Season on March 18, 2015 on The Loud Speakers Network, just four months after he was first recommended to the network by K Fury.

Last year, Taxstone was charged with his involvement in the murder of Troy Ave’s best friend and has since spent time in prison awaiting trial. The podcaster’s trial is set to begin in 2019 and the first photo of him in prison has just surfaced online from one of his associates.

Tax is currently waiting to plead his case in court. He has continued to maintain his innocence in connection with the killing of Ronald “Edgar” McPhatter and while there has been relatively little news on his case this year, we expect things to take off in 2019. Troy Ave recently spoke about his upcoming trial and now Taxstone’s first photo has surfaced online. The image shows the musician personality in a white t-shirt against a wall. It was shared by one of his friends on social media.

Taxstone has been trying to stay out of jail as actively as possible and called on Nicki Minaj’s “Queen Radio” show earlier this year to talk about 6ix9ine. The Brooklyn native faces a decent prison sentence. His followers continue to do everything they can to prove his innocence, but in the end the decision will go to court.

Troy Ave Prepared To Testify Against Taxstone

Troy Ave was preparing to testify against Taxstone. In May 2016, Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave was injured in a shooting at Irving Plaza that killed his bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter. No arrests were made in the months that followed, but on Monday (January 16), podcast personality Daryl Campbell, aka Taxstone, was arrested by police and arrested in Brooklyn in connection with the shooting, according to XXL Magazine.

Troy Ave will not maintain street order during the trial. Rolland Collins aka Troy Ave is about to appear in court. And he admits that he will tell everything. Troy’s bodyguard, who was a close friend, was also killed at Irving Plaza. According to Troy, he admits he dn’t tell the whole truth about what happened that day. But now he’s ready for it. Here’s some of what Troy had to say:

“I dn’t tell everything that happened, I followed the rules of the road like an iot,” Troy Ave sa. “If I had sa in the hospital, ‘here’s what happened, here’s who shot me’ (the case against him would be) over.”

It seems Troy has changed his mind since he was shot dead along with four others in May 2016. Troy, Uncle Murda, and Maino were all at Irving Plaza that day. While Troy survived his injuries, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter (Troy’s bodyguard) was shot dead. If Taxstone is the shooter, he will surely go to prison for a very long time.

Taxstone  Nationality

His nationality is American.

Taxstone  Net Worth

Taxstone’s net worth is $500,000.

Taxstone  Arrest

On January 16, 2017, Campbell was arrested in connection with the shooting of Ronald “Edgar” McPhatter. McPhatter was at the time working as a bodyguard for rapper Roland Collins (Troy Ave.) at an Irving Plaza concert for fellow rapper Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. (TI). a weapon through interstate commerce.

Authorities claim Campbell’s DNA was found on the trigger, grip and magazine of the Kel-Tec 9mm semi-automatic pistol used in filming in the venue’s Green Room.

PERSONAL FACTS

Rapper Tyga arrested for domestic violence in Los Angeles

Tyga was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of domestic violence in Hollywood, authorities said. The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Michael Stevenson, turned himself in to the LAPD’s Hollywood station and his bail was set at $50,000, they said.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the alleged incident happened on Monday, but they didn’t release any further details. The arrest comes a day after Tyga’s ex-girlfriend Camryn Swanson shared a series of photos of herself with a black eye on her Instagram account.

In one post, Swanson wrote, “I was abused emotionally, mentally and physically and I don’t hide it anymore.” In later posts, she denied TMZ reports that she showed up at the rapper’s home at 3 a.m. and said she was aggressive restrained and screamed.

“@tmz_tv I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited. When I tried to leave, he physically attacked me and refused to let me go for hours,” she added. “I’m so embarrassed and ashamed that it had to come to this, but I have to stand up for myself.”

Tyga has a son, King Cairo Stevenson, with a former video artist, Blac Chyna (she appeared in the video for his single “Rack City”). NET ASSETS

The rapper is said to be worth around $14 million as of 2022

EARLY START IN LIFE AND PROFESSION

Tyga was born Michael Ray Stevenson on November 19, 1989 in Compton, California, although his Vietnamese and Jamaican parents moved him to Gardena, California around the turn of the millennium. Inspired by listening to Fabolous, Eminem, Cam’ron and other rappers, he entered rap competitions with school friends and often posted songs he’d made up to online chat rooms.

His cousin Travis McCoy was a member of Gym Class Heroes and exposed him to a lot of music. He ended up touring with the group, making underground mixtapes the whole time. McCoy landed Tyga his first record deal by sharing his music with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, who told MTV News, “I really liked Tyga’s voice and his flow. I couldn’t believe he was related to Travis because Travis is pretty geeky.” Wentz signed him to Bat Squad Records, part of his Decaydance label, and executive produced Tyga’s debut album, No Introduction, in 2008.

TYGA HOUSE AND PROPERTIES

Tyga lived in several villas in Calabasas, California, but they were rented. Tyga wasn’t exactly the ideal tenant in some of these houses either.

In June 2015, Tyga was sued by one of his former landlords for failing to pay $80,000 in rent. With penalties and interest, the amount owed is $124,000. In July 2015, Tyga was sued by another landlord for defaulting on $50,000 in rent at another home in Calabasas. Tyga has also had several tax issues lately.

In September 2015, the state of California reimbursed Tyga for $19,000 in unpaid taxes. A year earlier, the IRS had hit Tyga with an unpaid $120,000 tax bill. In late February 2016, it was reported that Tyga’s G-Wagon was in the process of being repossessed. Tyga reportedly hasn’t made any payments for many months.

ASAP Rocky

American rapper and record producer (born 1988)

Not to be confused with Aesop Rock

Rakim Athelaston Mayers[2] (born October 3, 1988), known professionally as ASAP Rocky (AY-sap; stylized as A$AP Rocky), is an American rapper, singer and record producer. He is a member of the hip hop collective A$AP Mob, from which he took his nickname. In August 2011, Rocky’s single “Peso” was released online and received radio coverage within a few weeks.[3] Rocky has released his debut mixtape Live. Love. A$AP to widespread critical acclaim later that year. The success of his mixtape led to a record deal with Polo Grounds Music, RCA Records and Sony Music Entertainment.

His first studio album Long. Live. A$AP (2013) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album was preceded by Rocky’s breakout single “Fuckin’ Problems” (featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar), which was nominated for Best Rap Song at the 2014 Grammy Awards. In 2015 Rocky released his second album entitled At. Long. Last. A$AP. The album was Rocky’s second consecutive album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 and received mostly positive reviews from music critics. The album’s single, “L$D,” was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2016 Grammy Awards. In 2018, Rocky released his third album Testing which peaked in the top 5 countries including the Billboard 200.

Rocky has won a BET Award, two BET Hip Hop Awards, an MTV Video Music Award Japan, and an MTVU Woodie Award, and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, six World Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, and two MTV Europe Music Awards. Rocky has also directed music videos for himself, Danny Brown and other A$AP Mob members.[4] He is also a well-known record producer, producing under the pseudonym Lord Flacko.[5]

Early life

Rakim Athelaston Mayers was born on October 3, 1988 in the borough of Harlem in Manhattan, New York City.[6] His father is from Barbados.[7] He has an older brother and sister, Erika.[8][9] Both Rakim and Erica’s names come from the duo Eric B. & Rakim.[10] His cousin is fellow ASAP mob ASAP Nast.[11]

Mayers began rapping at age nine when he moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He learned to rap from his older brother, who also sported the cornrows hairstyle that A$AP Rocky later adopted. When Mayers was 12, his father was imprisoned in connection with selling drugs; he died in 2012.[13] When Mayers was 13 years old, his brother was killed in Harlem.[14] Death inspired Rocky to take rapping more seriously.[15] Mayers grew up admiring the Harlem-based rap group The Diplomats. He has also been influenced by Mobb Deep, Three 6 Mafia, UGK, Run DMC, Wu-Tang Clan, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.

A$AP Rocky spent his teenage years running around in homeless shelters with his mother and sister.[18] After living in a home with his mother in New York City for some time, he moved to Midtown Manhattan.[8]

Career

2007-2011: Career entry

In 2007, A$AP Rocky joined the A$AP Mob Crew, a Harlem-based collective of rappers, producers, music video directors, fashion designers, and bikers who shared similar interests in music, fashion, style, and the arts.[19] ] It was founded by A$AP Yams, A$AP Bari and A$AP Illz.[20][21] In July 2011, Rocky released his single “Purple Swag,” which quickly became a street anthem in New York City.

In August 2011, Rocky’s single “Peso” was released online and was airing on New York’s premier radio station Hot 97 within a few weeks.[3] After releasing a music video for his song “Purple Swag,” he garnered attention from multiple record labels. In October he released the mixtape Live. Love. A$AP to critical acclaim. Earlier this month he signed a two-year, $3 million recording deal with Bryan Leach’s Polo Grounds Music, which was then distributed by Clive Davis’ Sony Music division of J Records. After his record deal, Rocky formed A$AP Yams, a label, A$AP Worldwide.[20] Rocky’s deal with J Records was short-lived, however, as RCA Music Group announced on October 7 that it would be merging J along with Arista and Jive Records to form RCA Records. With the closure, Rocky (and all other artists previously signed to these three labels) will release future material under the RCA brand.[24] On December 5, he was nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll.[25]

2012–2014: Tour and long. Live. A$AP

In February 2012, Rocky joined Kendrick Lamar as the opening act for Drake’s Club Paradise Tour. In June, SpaceGhostPurrp, founder of Miami-based collective Raider Klan and former Rocky collaborator, A$AP Twelvyy, accused Raider Klan Matt Stoops of jumping, and subsequently distanced himself from A$AP Mob and Rocky in a YouTube video.[ 27] He and Raider Klan also accused ASAP Mob of copying their style[27] and Rocky of using lyrics from SpaceGhostPurrp’s song “My Enemy” on “Goldie”.[28] Rocky responded in a July interview for MTV, saying that SpaceGhostPurrp was “trying to build hype” and told it to “stick to Beats”.

In July 2012, Rocky performed at the Pitchfork Music Festival.[29] He was due to make his TV debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on July 20, but was arrested the night before after alleged involvement in a brawl with 21-year-old artist iRome. The scuffle took place in downtown Manhattan and the performance was canceled.[30][31] After it was rescheduled for August 21, Rocky performed “Goldie” on the show. On September 6, he also performed a guest rap on Rihanna’s “Cockiness (Love It)” at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

Rocky recorded his first studio album, Long. Live. A$AP, along with several producers such as Clams Casino, Hit-Boy, Friendzone, A$AP Ty Beats, Soufein3000 and Joey Fat Beats.[34] “Goldie” was released as the album’s first single on April 27.[35] On August 27, his crew, A$AP Mob, released the mixtape Lords Never Worry as a free download.[36] From September to November, Rocky promoted the album with the 40-date national concert tour, the Long Live ASAP Tour, featuring support acts ScHoolboy Q, Danny Brown and A$AP Mob.[37] Long. Live. A$AP was released on January 15, 2013 to mostly positive reviews from critics. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 139,000 copies in the United States. As of March 13, 2013, 284,000 copies have been sold.[40] On March 16, 2015, Long. Live. A$AP was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping 500,000 copies to the United States.[41][42]

On April 12, 2013, Rocky announced in an interview on radio station Wild 94.9 that he was working on an instrumental album, which he plans to release without notice. He even spoke about his favorite music videos and his desire to work with veteran rapper André 3000.[43] On June 21, Rocky told MTV News that he had completed his debut instrumental album titled Beauty & The Beast: Slowed Down Sessions (Chapter 1), which consists primarily of ambient-oriented instrumental tracks and was originally due for a summer release should be free download.[44] However, this album was delayed with no release date announced. Rocky previewed two snippets that would have made the compilation of Beauty & The Beast: Slowed Down Sessions (Chapter 1) entitled “Riot Rave” and “Unicorn”. The project has not been released as of 2022.

2015-2017: At. Long. Last. A$AP

ASAP Rocky in 2013

On March 16, 2014, Rocky announced that he was working on his second studio album, titled A.L.L.A. (an acronym for At. Long. Last. A$AP)[46] which was a follow-up to his debut album Long. Live. A$AP.[47] After a delay of the ASAP Mob album L.O.R.D. Rocky subsequently collaborated with cohorts A$AP Ferg, Nast and Twelvyy on the album’s third single, “Hella Hoes”, which was released on June 6, 2014. Nonetheless, A$AP mob leader A$AP Yams announced on his Tumblr account that the album was shelved.[49]

On October 3, 2014, his 26th birthday, Rocky launched a short-lived music giveaway called Flacko Jodye Season,[50] which premiered first with “Multiply,” which featured additional vocals by Juicy J;[51][52] later released on iTunes a week after its premiere.[53][54]

On New Year’s Day 2015, Rocky released the lead single from his second album, Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (LPFJ2), a sequel to Pretty Flacko. Then, on January 18, seventeen days after the single’s release, Rocky’s mentor and partner Steven “A$AP Yams” Rodriguez died at the age of 26.[56][57] However, some reports later determined that the cause of Yams was acute mixed drug intoxication[58] while Rocky and several A$AP Mob members and associates said the collective’s late leader died of his sleep apnea, which caused asphyxiation and Pneumonia-induced striving.[59][60][61] Weeks after Yams’ death, Rocky revealed that At. Long. Last. A$AP was self-produced by rapper Juicy J, producers Danger Mouse, Rocky and Yams.[62][63][64]

In 2015, Rocky appeared in a cameo role on the indie comedy-drama Dope. The film premiered on January 21, 2015 at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.[65] It opened in all theaters on June 12.[66] There, at the event, Rocky explained his facial expressions and sadness at the death of his own friend and partner; played “Multiply” on stage in a dedication to his loving memory, minutes before running backstage to calm himself.[67]

In March 2015, Rocky said in an interview with MTV News that he made songs like Wild For The Night and Fuckin’ Problems for mainstream commercial success and that he now hates those songs.

On April 8, 2015, the rapper released a song titled “M’$” which debuted during an interview with Red Bull Music Academy and was released to the iTunes Store two days later,[69] however it was announced that the song was not an official single from the album.[70] However, the album featured a remixed version of the track that replaced Rocky’s second verse with a guest verse by Lil Wayne. On May 9, Rocky revealed the album’s cover art on his official Instagram page with the caption “AT LONG LAST….” [71] He then released the album’s alternate artwork [72] the same day, releasing the album’s second release Single entitled “Everyday” featuring Rod Stewart, Miguel and Mark Ronson (the latter produced the track alongside Emile Haynie). Rocky also announced that the release date for A.L.L.A. was updated to June 2, 2015; However, on May 25, 2015 at around 6:00 pm EDT, the album was leaked online approximately a week ahead of its expected release.[75] Rocky then tweeted to announce the album would be released at midnight (May 26), changing the date a week earlier.

After its publication, At. Long. Last. A$AP received generally positive to mixed reviews from music critics. Overall, the album was supported by the release of three singles: “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (LPFJ2)”, “Everyday” and “L$D”. At. Long. Last. A$AP debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and sold 116,000 copies in the United States.[78] Finally, Rocky also had his second consecutive number one album on the charts to date.[79] In Canada, the album debuted at number one, selling 11,000 copies. The album spent two more weeks outside of the top ten on the Billboard 200. As of July 2015, the album has sold 215,000 copies in the US.[83] As of June 2015, 60,662 examples had been sold in the United Kingdom. [84] Although it is his second consecutive number one album, At. Long. Last. ASAP began to dwindle in album equivalent sales, becoming Rocky’s lowest-selling album of his career.

On June 11, 2015, Rocky appeared on The Tonight Show performing the song “L$D” with The Roots. In June, it was confirmed that he was featured on the Selena Gomez single “Good for You.” In June 2015, he appeared in the “Carpool Karaoke” segment of The Late Late Show, driving with Rod Stewart and host James Corden.

Rocky can be heard on “Blended Family (What You Do for Love)”, a track Alicia Keys wrote for her sixth studio album Here in 2016. He is also featured on two tracks from Lana Del Rey’s 2017 album Lust for Life. The tracks are called “Summer Bummer”, which also features Playboi Carti, and “Groupie Love”.[87] He also appeared in Famous Dex’s “Pick It Up,” which was released in October 2017.[88]

2018–present: Testing and forthcoming album

On January 23, 2018, ASAP Rocky released “☆☆☆☆☆ 5ive $tar$” on SoundCloud, produced by Metro Boomin, Frans Mernick, Jordan Blackmon and Daniel Lynas and featuring uncredited vocals by DRAM.[89] Over the next two days he shared “Above”, produced by Mernick, and “Money Bags Freestyle (Dean Blunt Meditation)”, produced by Blunt and with uncredited vocals by Lil Yachty. The songs were titled “TESTING COMING SOON” and “THIS IS JUST A TEST”, leading to speculation that they were promoting an upcoming studio album entitled “Testing”. On February 16, Rocky collaborated with Gucci Mane and 21 Savage on Cocky to promote the film Uncle Drew. On March 27 he released the single “Bad Company”. It includes rapper BlocBoy JB and other references to testing in his marketing.[92] On April 5th he released a second single: “ASAP Forever”. The song samples record producer Moby’s 2000 single “Porcelain” and credits him as one of the artists featured. It premiered on The Tonight Show along with the new track “Distorted Records” and a music video was released the following day. A day later, he was featured on the song “One Track Mind” by rock band Thirty Seconds through Mars’ fifth studio album America.

On May 25, 2018, Rocky Testing released to generally positive reviews from critics. Testing debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200, becoming ASAP Rocky’s third consecutive Top 5 album on the chart. In its second week, the album dropped to number 15 with 26,000 album equivalent units (1,000 copies).[96] The following week, Testing fell to 22nd on the chart.[97] On July 23, 2018, Rocky and Tyler, The Creator announced a collaborative project, WANGSAP, by releasing a music video of a remix of Monica’s “Knock Knock” called “Potato Salad” on AWGE’s “AWGE DVD (Vol. 3)”. That incident ended with a plea bargain in which he pleaded guilty to grand larceny for attempting to take their cameras.

On August 31, 2013, A$AP Rocky allegedly punched a woman during the Budweiser Made in America Festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was charged with “common assault, a class two misdemeanor.” The case was dropped after a witness failed to appear in court.[130] The woman later filed a lawsuit in July 2014, claiming that she was still suffering from certain conditions as a result of the alleged assault.[130] A$AP Rocky stated that he never touched the woman in question and that she “should have known there could be trouble with so many people.”[131] The lawsuit was settled between the two in April 2015.[132]

In late September 2015, Rocky was sued by his former manager Geno Sims for alleged breach of contract, prompting him to counter-sue.[133] The lawsuit sought US$300,000 in damages.[134] Four years later, in 2019, Rocky and Sims reached a legal settlement and dropped both lawsuits against each other.[133]

In July 2019, A$AP Rocky was charged with first aggravated, then minor, assault in Stockholm, Sweden, following a street altercation between a man named Mustafa Jafari and another individual involving A$AP Rocky and three of his entourage , arrested June 30.[135][136][137] Jafari was punched, kicked and cut with broken bottles as he lay on the ground.[138] He suffered multiple cuts that required stitches and a broken rib.[139] A$AP Rocky uploaded two videos of the incident to Instagram. In the first case, he and his entourage repeatedly ask two young men, including Jafari, to stop following them, as he complains about his headphones.[140] In the other, which was created from footage of various events, Jafari’s headphones break during a scuffle and he is seen beating A$AP Rocky’s bodyguard with them. A woman is also seen in the video accusing the two men of groping her.[141][142] Henrik Olsson Lilja, A$AP Rocky’s defense attorney, claimed his client acted in self-defense after being attacked by Jafari.[143]

A$AP Rocky’s bodyguard filed a counterclaim against Jafari,[144] and Jafari was initially charged with harassment and minor assault or possible attempted assault.[145] The investigation into Jafari was dropped after prosecutors said he acted in self-defense after being grabbed by the neck and pushed by the bodyguard.[146][147] A$AP Rocky was arrested after being allowed to finish his performance at the stadium.[148][149] At risk of escaping or tampering with evidence, he was held in Kronoberg detention pending trial,[150][151][152] and two members of his entourage also arrested. 153] A$AP Rocky’s ongoing tour was then suspended due to the trial.[154]

Shortly after his arrest, he was visited by US Embassy staff.[155] Several US artists called for a boycott of Sweden over the incident.[156][157] A petition for his release was started.[158] The family turned to Al Sharpton for help.[159] US President Donald Trump tweeted his support for Rocky’s release. Former US Ambassador to Sweden Mark Brzezinski suggested that the government should intervene and speculated that racism may have been at the root of the brawl.[160] Foreign Minister Margot Wallström said the government should not interfere, referring to Chapter 11 §3 of the Swedish constitutional code, which expressly forbids the interference of politicians or independent government bodies in the work of the courts.

A$AP Rocky was convicted of assault, given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay the victim 12,500 kr ($1,270) in damages.[161] The court could not decide who used the bottle but said it was not self-defense.[162] Since A$AP Rocky had already been in prison for the incident for over a month before the verdict was handed down, it was determined that he needed no further time to serve.[163] The conviction does not prevent him from returning to Sweden.[164]

Alleged assault in Hollywood

On April 20, 2022, A$AP Rocky was arrested by LAPD officers while arriving at Los Angeles International Airport after vacationing with partner Rihanna. He was arrested for a possible assault with a deadly weapon in a Hollywood shooting on November 6, 2021. Bail was set at $550,000 and he was released shortly thereafter.[165]

After his arrest, detectives were given a search warrant to search his home for possible evidence. LAPD investigators broke into his home using a crowbar to force open the gate. Detectives took several boxes from his home to use as evidence.[166]
