Violet is survived by her 68-year-old husband, John; daughters, Vicki Myers (Fred Nitsch) of Maryland, Carol Myers-Schmitz (Peter) of Illinois; son John Myers (Linda) from Florida; grandsons Erika and Lauren Myers-Bromwell), Alyssa and JonPaul Mease; two great-grandchildren; Sisters: Joyce, Alice, Dolly, Sandy and Darlene; brothers, Don and Ralph; and dozens of nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death; brother, Kenny Erickson; and Sister Marlys (Erickson) Wall.
After meeting her husband in Washington, DC in 1950, they married at John’s family church, Grace Lutheran, in Westminster, MD. Throughout her husband’s career, they lived in Maryland, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, back to Maryland, finally retiring happily to their hometown. She was always grateful for the friendships that had developed with neighbors and the various church members since they were her family far from home. We are truly blessed with her life, smile and warmth and will miss her dearly.
The visit will take place on Tuesday, March 12 at 9am at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, with a memorial service at 10am followed by lunch. The convocation takes place in August.

Violet Mae Myers, 85, of Hanover, PA entered God’s eternal care on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born on April 19, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Marvin E. & Anna S. (Stiffler) Heindel. Violet was the loving wife of Francis Levere “Frenchy” Myers, to whom she was married for 60 years until his death on February 26, 2016.
Violet was very proud to have received her General Education Diploma from Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 on June 9, 1994 at the age of 57.
Violet worked as a laborer at Clark’s Shoes until her retirement. She was also previously employed at Hanover Industries.
Violet was an avid reader and lover of books.
Violet is survived by her children, Saundra K. Trone and husband Joseph, Sr. of Hanover, PA, Cheryl A. Lucabaugh and husband John of Hanover, PA, Robin F. Myers, Daniel P. Myers of Thomasville, PA, James A .Myers and Lynn F. Myers and one grandchild, Joseph G. Trone, Jr., of Hanover, PA. Violet also leaves behind two siblings, Barbara Price of Hampstead, MD and Judy DeVore. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Janet Feeser and Norma Jean Heindel.
A funeral service to celebrate and commemorate Violet’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331, conducted by the Reverend Allen G .Harris instead. Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hanover. A viewing and time to share memories with family will take place on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 10am to 11am, also at the funeral home.
