She obtained her first degree, LLB Hons, from the University of Buckingham at the age of 19, followed by an MA in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster, an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from the London School of Economics, a Doctorate in Law from Birkbeck, University of London, and an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge.[1][4] She is also the founder of the Women in Leadership Publication.[5][6] In June 2020, Vogue magazine named her one of “8 Black Educational Voices to Hear and Learn From Now.”[7]

Mos-Shogbamimu appears regularly on television as a commentator on topics related to politics, current affairs, race and diversity.[8][9] She has been particularly open about what she feels is the negative media treatment of “women of color” who are in the public eye, such as Serena Williams and Meghan Markle.[9][10] In 2019, Mos-Shogbamimu gave a TEDx talk entitled “This is why I resist” in which she made it clear why she refuses to define herself by her skin colour, gender or religion and shared her views with her audience about feminism and feminism engaged politics and encouragement to join their “conscious revolution”.[11] In March 2021, she clashed with Piers Morgan in a heated debate while she was a guest on Good Morning Britain speaking with Meghan and Harry about the Oprah interview.

Her first book, This Is Why I Resist: Don’t Define My Black Identity, was published in January 2021 and explores the nuances and intricacies of the conversations about “race, racism, and racial inclusion.”[14] The New European newspaper said the book was “a deep dive into the roots of racism in Britain and the US and delves into little-explored areas of ‘the ‘race to ignite transformational change’.”[15] Described by The Voice newspaper as a “vital anti -Racism-Call to Action”, in which Mos-Shogbamimu is “direct, unabashed and haunting in her message”, the book This Is Why I Resist “attacks themes that are under-discussed such as colorism, performative allies, racist gatekeeping, the exclusion of trans women, especially black trans women, from the feminist movement and calls on people to speak out to end the oppression.”[16 ]
